Jill Yaziji founded the firm in 2006. She was then an attorney with several years of litigation experience and an aspiration to offer her clients a highly competent, zealous, and honest legal practice. Jill has risen to the top of the legal profession, having been named to Houstonia’s Top Attorney List in 2013, according to a survey that user experience, peer review, and industry recognition as evaluation criteria. The leading attorney ranking website, Avvo, rates Jill an outstanding 10 out of 10. But most importantly, the firm’s clients have publicly praised Jill for a level of preparedness, proficiency in the law, and professionalism that matches or exceeds much larger firms. For every client and for every case, Jill dedicates the time and resources to win major decisions against the most experienced and aggressive of legal adversaries.
Jill’s recognition by her clients and her industry is perfectly consistent with her work ethic and high standards of performance. Such traits earned her an Achievement Award in International Litigation from the University of Texas School of Law, the premier law school in Texas. Her quality work product and
dedication to serving her community have been recognized by the local bar association, where she serves as Associate Editor of The Houston Lawyer, an official publication of the Houston Bar Association. Jill had worked for years in big litigation firms in Houston prior to starting her own firm. Her JD is from the University of Texas School of Law, where she was on The Review of Litigation editorial board.
Jill has a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature also from the University of Texas-Austin. Her doctoral dissertation was nominated for the Outstanding Dissertation Award.
She enjoys all types of sports, reading and writing and is fluent in Arabic and French. She is married to Darrow and they have two sons, Julian and Anderson.
Jill is a member of the State Bar of Texas, American Bar Association (ABA), Houston Bar Association (HBA), Houston Trial Lawyer Association (HTLA), and many other legal organizations. She is licensed to practice law before the Texas Supreme Court.
